POPPY APPEAL 2010
The Poppy Appeal is the major single source of revenue for the Royal British Legion’s Benevolent Fund. Each year more people come to the Legion for help and the cost of that help is continually increasing. Daily we see and read of young Service men and women employed in peace keeping duties in many parts of the world, often in considerable danger, and this means that there will always be a need to provide help for them and their dependants, when they themselves no longer can. That is why it is so important that the Legion can continue with its vital work.
On behalf of those who will now benefit from the support of all our volunteers, Associations, Businesses and people of Toddington and surrounding villages we would like to say a very big Thank You. The total amount raised was: £6,797.23

90th Anniversary 1921 - 2011
In 2011 the Royal British Legion celebrates its 90th birthday. Over those years, we have seen changes which were unimaginable in 1921. The way nations wage war has changed dramatically and so has the way we care for the men and women returning home from war.
Across the UK the Royal British Legion branches will be celebrating 90 years of outstanding achievements with parties and celebrations and events.
The weekend is to be 10th, 11th & 12th June, so watch this space for further details of what the Toddington Branch will be doing.
