Letting the whole village know could really boost your collection.
Good Condition Clothing and old mobile phones for the Fire Fighters Charity - Toddington Fire Station have a collection bank for unwanted clothes in the front car park of the Fire station. Mobile phones can be delivered directly to fire station staff, in a marked envelope/box stating that it is for recycling.
Postage Stamps - RSPB there is a collection box in St George’s church. Contact Cyril Flood – 876927.
Used Ink and DeskJet Cartridges - Toddington Scout Group. Please take to group meetings or hand into Punch Opticians. Contact Teresa Potter – 875099.
Prescription Glasses for use in the third world. Please take any spare glasses to Punch Opticians.
Newspapers and Postage Stamps - Brownies and Guides. There are newspaper bins outside of the Guide hut on St Georges close. Please put stamps through the guide hut door. Contact Melanie Parker – 875844
Tesco Sports Vouchers - Toddington Rovers Football Teams. Please drop any vouchers off at Geoff Ratcliffe’s house 12 Dale Close
Used Ink and Deskjet Cartridges - St Georges School. Please drop into reception.
Postage Stamps - Toddington Baptist Church for Yeldall Manor which is a Christian charity providing residential drug/alcohol rehabilitation programme and resettlement for men.
Plants to sell and spare plant pots are always needed for St Georges Church Plant Stall. They are also always looking for new gardens to open for the annual village open gardens which are held in May. Plant pots can be left behind the Wilkinson hall. Contact Margaret Tilstone 872821.
Parkfields School has collections each term from Texrecycle next collections 17th March 2011, 23rd June 2011. Clothes, shoes, linen and curtains can be put into any sack. They have spare sacks at school if needed. If you cannot get your sacks to the school please contact the office (872555) and they will arrange to collect from you. Used Ink and DeskJet Cartridges, Old Mobile Phones, Nestle Box Top for Books Tokens, Tesco and Sainsbury vouchers are also wanted. The Nestle tokens are found on cereal boxes and bar packs. New - they would like any spare wool and any pens that no longer work.
Used or New Picture Postcards in aid of Leper Mission. Please drop off at the Methodist church. Also Unwanted Carpentry, Garden Tools. Old Typewriters and Sewing Machines are needed by Work Aid. They will clean & repair them if necessary before shipping them out to third world countries where they will be put to very good use. Contact Phil and Cilla Wagner 381579 . Items can be collected.
