According to recent nationwide surveys over 70% of the population of Gt Britain consider themselves to be Christian, with a large percentage expressing a personal affiliation to the Church of England. St George’s Parish Church has been at the centre of village life in Toddington for over 800 years and we would like to ensure that it continues to be a place of Christian worship and witness for many generations to come. All through its history the church has had to adapt and change to meet the needs of the people it is called to serve, both in the context of its worshipping life and in the way the building is used. As we begin this new year we, as a church community, have some very important decisions to make concerning urgent internal repairs and re-ordering to our ancient church building and in order for us to make informed and constructive plans, which take into account the needs and wishes of the whole community, we would like your cooperation. Please take some time to complete the attached questionaire and return it to church (there will be a box for completed questionnaires at the back of church) or to the Rectory (41 Leighton Road) by Friday 26th February 2010 With our thanks for your continued support The Rector, Churchwardens and PCC of St George of England Parish Church.
